1. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser technologies that can preserve preferences or feature state. Some are first-party, set for analysisswim.com, while optional services may also communicate with another provider's domains.

“Necessary” storage supports a service you request, account security or a saved privacy choice. “Analytics” storage measures visits and feature use and is optional.

2. Your analytics choice

On your first visit after this system is enabled, AnalysisSwim presents equal options to accept or reject analytics. Until you accept, Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica do not load and do not receive a page request from their analytics tags.

Your choice is kept in local storage under as_privacy_choices_v1 for up to 180 days. Use the Privacy choices button to change it. Turning analytics off removes known first-party analytics cookies where technically possible and reloads the page to stop active tags.

3. Necessary cookies and storage

• Session and authentication storage: keeps a signed-in session, account state and security protections working. Duration may be the browser session or the configured secure login period.
• CSRF and security values: help confirm that account and API actions came from the active site session. Usually session-limited.
• Privacy choice: as_privacy_choices_v1 in local storage records necessary and analytics choices for up to 180 days.
• Feature preferences and drafts: browser storage may preserve Pace Clock or Race Analysis state, optional marker settings and unfinished work until reset, replaced, expired or cleared.
• PWA and service-worker storage: browser caches may store site assets to improve reliability and app-like operation. The browser controls cache lifetime.

Necessary storage cannot be disabled through the analytics panel because the site may not function securely without it. You can clear it in the browser, but this may sign you out, erase browser-only drafts or reset preferences.

4. Google Analytics

When allowed, Google Analytics 4 measurement ID G-CG8L3ECH0Q receives information such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser, device, language, timestamps, interaction events and pseudonymous browser/session identifiers. Advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled in our site configuration.

• _ga — distinguishes browsers; configured for up to 180 days.
• _ga_<container-id> — preserves session state; configured for up to 180 days.

Cookie duration may be shortened by browser rules. Google may process analytics data on infrastructure in multiple countries under its own terms and privacy information.

5. Yandex Metrica

When allowed, Yandex Metrica counter 82271491 measures traffic sources, visits, page use, clicks, link activity, browser and device characteristics and pseudonymous identifiers. Session Replay (Webvisor) is disabled.

Depending on Yandex operation and browser support, storage can include:

• _ym_metrika_enabled — checks whether analytics storage works; about 60 minutes;
• _ym_isad — detects ad-blocker use; about 20 hours;
• _ym_uid, _ym_fa, _ym_d — pseudonymous visitor and first-session information; generally up to 1 year;
• _ym_hostIndex — request limiting; about 1 day;
• gdpr, is_gdpr, is_gdpr_b — jurisdiction or privacy-operation values; up to 2 years;
• Yandex-domain identifiers such as yandexuid, yuidss, i, ymex and usst; commonly up to 1 year;
• local-storage keys beginning _ym — request order, bounce timing and pseudonymous visitor operation.

Actual names and periods can change when Yandex changes its service or a browser limits storage. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, passwords, medical information or message contents to Yandex Metrica.

6. Other third-party resources

Pages may request fonts, icons, scripts or styles from providers such as Google Fonts, Font Awesome or jsDelivr. These requests can reveal technical data such as IP address, browser and page referrer to the provider even when the resource does not set an AnalysisSwim analytics cookie. Payment, email and embedded external services may use their own necessary storage when you actively use them.

We aim to reduce unnecessary third-party requests and will update this Notice as the site's integrations change.

7. Browser and device controls

Browsers can show, block or delete cookies, local storage, cache and site permissions. Blocking all storage may prevent login, recovery, drafts, consent memory or other requested functions. Private-browsing and content-blocking modes may also change how the site operates.

To change only AnalysisSwim analytics, use the site's Privacy choices control rather than blocking all necessary storage.

8. Changes to this Notice

Cookie names and durations can change because of browser or provider updates. We will update this page and its effective date when our use materially changes. A new consent version can cause the choice panel to appear again.
