Read the Terms of Use
Do not treat any AnalysisSwim value as perfectly accurate. Review the source video and settings, independently verify important results, and use qualified adult and professional supervision for swimming and training.

1. The warning in plain language

AnalysisSwim provides educational information and estimated performance data. It can help organise observations, but it can be wrong. A displayed number may look precise while still being affected by video, manual input, assumptions, rounding or software limitations.

You are responsible for checking the result and deciding whether and how to use it. Do not make a medical, safety, selection, competition or high-risk training decision from AnalysisSwim output alone.

2. Tools covered by this Disclaimer

This Disclaimer applies to current and future features including:

  • Race Analysis and comparison of races;
  • Swim, stroke, start, turn and video analysis;
  • Pace Clock, workouts, training plans and assigned training;
  • Personal Best, statistics, predictions and performance tracking;
  • reports, PDFs, exports, charts and calculated summaries;
  • reference races, templates, recommendations and automated insights;
  • coach, athlete, parent, club and organisation views of those results.

3. Why measurements and results may vary

Video limitations

Camera position, perspective, lens distortion, obstruction, frame rate, dropped frames, editing, slow motion, playback behaviour, compression, resolution, lighting and visibility can change the apparent timing and distance.

Human input

Manual start, turn, breakout, finish, stroke-cycle and distance markers depend on the observer's judgement and reaction. Different reviewers may mark the same video differently.

Configuration and source data

Incorrect pool length, course, event, stroke, distance, relay configuration, athlete identity, official result or reference data will produce misleading output. Empty or estimated fields can affect later calculations.

Calculation and device limitations

Browser timing, device speed, floating-point calculation, rounding, unit conversion, software defects and future formula changes can affect results. Values shown with decimals are not a promise of scientific or certified precision.

4. Not an official timing or competition system

AnalysisSwim is not a certified electronic timing system, referee, competition organiser or governing body. Platform times, rankings, splits and classifications do not replace published official results, rules, disqualification decisions or records issued by the relevant organiser or governing body.

If AnalysisSwim conflicts with an official source, use the official source and report the discrepancy so the platform data can be reviewed.

5. Not medical, diagnostic or professional advice

AnalysisSwim output is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, nutritional advice, emergency instruction, legal advice or a guarantee that a training method is suitable for a particular person.

Platform roles and labels do not verify that a user is a qualified coach, healthcare professional, lifeguard, official or safeguarding specialist. Confirm qualifications independently and consult an appropriate professional for advice specific to an individual's health, age, ability and circumstances.

6. Swimming, breath control and physical-training risks

Never swim alone. Never perform breath-holding, underwater, diving, maximal or unfamiliar training without appropriate qualified supervision and a safe facility.

Aquatic and physical activities carry inherent risks including fatigue, overexertion, collision, falls, equipment failure, illness, injury, loss of consciousness, drowning and death. A plan, target pace or recommendation shown on the platform does not establish that an activity is safe.

The participant and responsible supervising adult must assess conditions in real time, follow facility and governing-body rules, use appropriate equipment and stop the activity if there is pain, distress, unsafe behaviour, poor visibility, inadequate supervision or any other concern.

7. Children and young athletes

A minor must not be expected to assess platform limitations or aquatic risks alone. Users aged 13 to 17 require parent or legal-guardian permission and appropriate adult supervision. A child under 13 must not control an independent account and may use a permitted feature only through an appropriate parent-managed arrangement.

Parents, guardians, coaches and organisations remain responsible for consent, safeguarding, age-appropriate training, communication boundaries, supervision and compliance with local child-protection rules.

8. Coaches, parents, clubs and organisations

A platform connection or data-sharing permission does not transfer the duty of care, professional responsibility or safeguarding obligations of a coach, parent, club, school, facility or organisation to AnalysisSwim.

Anyone who assigns training, interprets an analysis or makes a recommendation must apply their own competent judgement, know the athlete and circumstances, verify the source data and comply with applicable professional, organisational and legal requirements.

9. Reference races, comparisons and predictions

Comparisons between swimmers or races may involve different competitions, conditions, camera sources, analysis methods, pool configurations, dates and data quality. A comparison does not establish causation, fairness, future performance or the superiority of a person or training method.

Reference data and predictions are examples and decision-support information, not guaranteed targets. Athlete names, competition details and public results should be verified against authoritative sources where accuracy matters.

10. Your responsibility before acting

Before using a result, you should:

  1. confirm the athlete, event, pool, stroke, distance and source video;
  2. review every required marker and identify missing or optional data;
  3. compare important values with an independent or official source;
  4. consider health, age, ability, supervision and current conditions;
  5. use qualified professional judgement where the decision matters;
  6. keep a copy of important source material and note any assumptions.

You accept responsibility for decisions and actions you take after reviewing the available information, subject to rights and liabilities that applicable law does not allow either party to exclude.

11. Emergencies and urgent concerns

AnalysisSwim is not monitored as an emergency service. Do not use chat, reports, notifications or support email for immediate medical, safeguarding or water-safety assistance. In an emergency, stop the activity and contact local emergency services, facility staff, lifeguards, a responsible adult or the appropriate safeguarding authority.

12. Legal effect

This Disclaimer forms part of the AnalysisSwim Terms of Use. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AnalysisSwim does not accept responsibility for loss, injury or damage resulting from reliance on estimated output, user-supplied or third-party information, unsafe activity, inadequate supervision or decisions made by users.

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury to the extent caused by negligence where exclusion is prohibited, mandatory data-protection obligations, or any other right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
